DJ classes near San Francisco.

We're not in the city. We're in Emeryville, inside The Grill Studios, right at the east end of the Bay Bridge. If you live in SF and want to learn to DJ in a real studio with an instructor next to you, it's a short trip over, and there's a parking lot when you arrive.

Why learn in a studio

  1. 01

    An instructor in the booth

A video can show you which knob does what. It can't hear your blend and tell you why the transition fell apart. The working DJ next to you can, every week.

  2. 02

Real gear, in a real room

Class runs inside The Grill Studios, with professional monitoring and a proper setup, so what you learn holds up at an actual gig and not just in your bedroom.

  3. 03

A class that keeps you showing up

Small groups mean listening sessions, feedback, and classmates who notice when you miss a week. That's usually the difference between sticking with it and letting the controller gather dust.

FAQ

Common questions

Do you have DJ classes in San Francisco?
Our only campus is in Emeryville, at The Grill Studios, just across the Bay Bridge. We don't have a San Francisco location, so students from the city come over to the studio for class.
Is there parking at the studio?
Yes. The studio has its own lot, so you can drive over from the city and skip the hunt for street parking.
Do I need experience to join a DJ class?
No. Live DJing is built for beginners and self-taught DJs who want real technique. You're in a small group with an instructor in the room, so class meets you where you are.
Do I need my own DJ equipment?
Bring your own laptop and headphones. Not sure what else you need? We'll help you sort out the right setup before you start, so you don't buy the wrong thing.
Are classes in person or online?
In person, on purpose. You learn in a professional studio with an instructor beside you. Every session is also recorded, so you can review or catch up whenever you need.
How much do DJ classes cost?
Current schedules and prices are on the enroll page. Every course can be paid in full or split into monthly payments.
