Students learn DJ fundamentals over eight weekly sessions, working on equipment in the room with an instructor. No prior experience is needed.

How it runs
Sessions are Mondays, 6pm to 8pm, for eight weeks, October 19 through December 7.
The course is held at Soul Graffiti, 6323 San Pablo Ave in Emeryville.
Sessions build on each other, so students should plan to attend all eight.

- A DJ controller, either the DDJ-FLX2 or the DDJ-FLX4 DDJ-FLX2 on Sweetwater · DDJ-FLX4 on Sweetwater
- Serato. The free Serato DJ Lite works for the course and unlocks when either controller is plugged in.
The DDJ-FLX2 is sold under the AlphaTheta name, which is Pioneer DJ's parent company. We go over anything else your student needs before the first session.

Does my student need experience?
No. The course starts from the beginning and assumes no prior DJ experience.
What equipment do they need?
